Multi-Gen 7XL High Speed 12-Pack of Stainless Steel Probes : 1.5ml-50ml tubes

Multi-Gen 7XL Stainless Steel Probes are now available for high-speed homogenizing.

The High-Speed version of the Multi-Gen 7XL probes is intended only for use at processing speeds above 25,000 RPM and with viscous liquid samples and or volumes greater than 50ml.

For small volumes (under 50 mL), use of this high-speed version is not recommended. At these volumes, operating at high speeds can result in the entire sample being drawn up into the generator, introducing air and leading to intermittent processing without sample contact. This can cause excessive wear on the lower bearings of the probe and reduce both the life of the equipment and the quality of your results.

For processing small sample volumes or at standard speeds, the standard Multi-Gen 7XL probes are fully sufficient and recommended.

PRO's Multi-Gen is known as the better alternative to disposable plastic probes/tips. This unique equipment is a reusable 7mm diameter probe manufactured from superior 316 stainless steel and PTFE, which allows for homogenizing of samples without cross-contamination and without the need to stop and clean a probe in between sample processes. A Multi-Gen 7XL Probe can quickly lock into the Multi-Gen Adapter to provide hands-free ejection of the probe which minimizes the chance of accidental contamination. 

Advantages over plastic disposable probes:
First advantage, Multi-Gen 7XL Probes can process more difficult samples, including tough tissues.
Second advantage, Multi-Gen 7XL Probes can be sterilized by any method, including flaming and autoclaving.
Third advantage, Multi-Gen 7XL Probes are more economical because of their ability to be reused an unlimited number of times not like plastic disposable probes
